Below is an overview of the Access-Plus© system installed between two rooms:

Note that the APX Controller is installed in an out-of-the-way place and serves two doors (two separate rooms).

The Access-Plus® system has five basic components:

  1. Host Computer

  2. APX Controller

  3. Reader (magstrip cardreader is standard, but you can choose any Wiegand-based reader to suit your needs, i.e. proximity, biometric, keypad, etc.)

  4. Dustbox Contacts

  5. Mortise Lock

HOST COMPUTER:

(SPECIFICATIONS OF COMPUTER) Loaded with Access-Ez software with easy-to-use interface.

APX CONTROLLER:

  1. Power Supply

  2. Backup Battery

  3. APX Controller

READER:

The standard Access-Plus Cardreader comes in a wide variety of finishes to complement your color scheme.

DUSTBOX CONTACTS:

Exclusively designed electronic contacts fit in standard dustbox in the door jamb -- no need to core and wire doors.

MORTISE LOCK:

Specially modified to work with the dustbox contacts, these sensors have the ability to relay alarms on forced entries and doors left open.
