SII Company History
Security Innovations, Incorporated (SII) is a US-owned and -operated manufacturer specializing in on-line access control systems and electrified mortise locks. In 1994, SII took the advanced technologies of commercial security from its sibling company, Proprietary Control Systems Corporation (PCSC) and customized them for the hospitality industry. With on-line access control as its flagship product, SII quickly gained recognition with five-star hotels in Asia, Canada and across the United States.
In 1996, the electrified mortise lock was offered to commercial locksmiths when SII realized its innovative wire-through-the-latch installation could benefit a whole new industry. The following year, wire-through-the-door locks were added to complement the line and give locksmiths greater flexibility.
Presently, SII is expanding its products even further with new technologies, and services. By integrating innovative security features with standard electrical and building specifications, SII provides safe, efficient and effective security solutions.
HOTEL INDUSTRY: On-Line Access Control
The Access-Plus® On-Line Security system is a major technological advance for lodging properties. Access-Plus gives managers more features, more options and more control. Features include the standard Sensor-LockTM latch and deadbolt monitoring and forced entry alarm, the ability to integrate any combination of readers (magstripe, smart key, proximity or biometric), and the instantaneous voiding of lost or stolen key cards. Guest services are increased with greater levels of safety as well as the convenient option of using credit cards as keys.
Time and Cost Management: Access-Plus is cost-efficient in both its installation and its capabilities. The ease of installation saves money in labor and materials. Managing features log employee performance, regulate employee access and minimize costs related to security risks. Other money-saving capabilities include motion sensors to reduce costs in lighting, air conditioning and heating.
LOOKING AHEAD: Research and Development
The future holds exciting new products for the Access-Plus On-Line system which demonstrate SIÌs commitment to state-of-the-art security. With every new advancement, SII is proud to offer features that increase safety, decrease liability and improve guest services in the lodging industry.
Closed Circuit TV Integration — When a room alarm is triggered, floor cameras will automatically zoom in on the door of that room and provide a digital recording.
Property Mapping — The central computer will automatically pull up a map indicating where an alarm has been triggered.
Automatic Paging — When an alarm goes off, security will be given the room number immediately on a numeric pager.
The Research and Development department is testing and finalizing components for these features, and more. Clients can expect even greater improvements as SII continues to grow as an innovator in security, service and quality.
